Pleasanton ISD continues to demonstrate academic growth and student success, earning notable improvements in several key areas of the Texas Education Agency's 2026 Accountability Ratings.
The district received an overall accountability score of 77 (C) for 2026, an increase of three points from its 2025 score of 74 and four points from its 2024 score of 73. The improvement reflects the district's continued focus on student achievement, academic growth, and preparing students for future success.
One of the most significant gains occurred in the School Progress domain, where Pleasanton ISD improved from a score of 73 (C) in 2025 to 80 (B) in 2026, signaling substantial advancement in student growth and academic performance across the district. Academic Growth also increased from 69 (D) to 73 (C), representing continued progress in helping students achieve year-over-year learning gains.
Pleasanton High School
Pleasanton High School continued its tradition of strong performance, earning an overall score of 86 (B). The campus excelled in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) with an impressive score of 97 (A), reflecting the school's commitment to ensuring students graduate prepared for postsecondary opportunities. The high school also improved its Closing the Gaps score from 78 (C) to 82 (B) and received the state's Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth Distinction Designation.
Pleasanton Junior High
Pleasanton Junior High achieved one of the largest improvements in the district, increasing its overall score from 65 (D) in 2025 to 79 (C) in 2026, a remarkable 14-point gain. School Progress rose from 66 (D) to 80 (B), while Academic Growth improved from 60 (D) to 72 (C). The campus also raised its Closing the Gaps score from 61 (D) to 77 (C), demonstrating meaningful progress in student achievement among all student groups.
Pleasanton Elementary
Pleasanton Elementary continued to make gains in student performance measures. Student Achievement increased from 70 (C) to 71 (C), and School Progress rose from 59 (F) in 2024 to 70 (C) in 2026, reflecting sustained improvement over the past two years. Academic Growth also improved significantly from 59 (F) in 2024 to 66 (D) in 2026.
As Pleasanton ISD moves forward, the district will continue building on its strengths, expanding opportunities for students, and targeting areas for growth to further improve academic outcomes for all students.
