Amanda Pawelek ran unopposed May 2025. Amanda has called Pleasanton home for the past 16 years. She and her husband—a Pleasanton High School graduate and current City Council member—are proud to be raising their three children in the community. All of their children attend Pleasanton ISD, with one in high school and two in junior high, and are actively involved in sports and FFA.
Amanda works full-time as an administrative assistant at a local insurance agency and also runs a part-time photography business. Known around town as the family’s “crazy chicken lady,” she brings energy, creativity, and heart to everything she does.
Her passion for giving back is evident through her past service on the Atascosa County Child Welfare Board and the local youth soccer league board. She currently fosters animals through Animal Allies, a cause close to her heart.
On the school board, Amanda is especially focused on supporting at-risk students and creating opportunities for every child to succeed. She is honored to serve Pleasanton ISD and remains committed to being a voice for students, families, and educators throughout the district.
