Take a Look Inside Studio 719
In Mrs. Richter's computer lab, Studio 719, our students are not just completing assignments. They are designing and publishing campus magazines that reflect the voice and energy of our school. Each issue is built from the ground up, and the results speak for themselves.
Real Design, Real Skills
Every page you see is created using foundational design principles. Students learn how to choose typography that communicates clearly and effectively. They explore color theory to build cohesive and eye-catching palettes. They apply layout and composition techniques using grids and spacing. They also develop an understanding of visual hierarchy so they can guide the reader’s attention with purpose.
These are the same skills used in careers such as marketing, web design, and media production.
Built for the Real World
As students create their magazines, they are developing skills that go far beyond the classroom. They design using digital tools, write for a real audience, manage deadlines, and collaborate with their peers. They also learn how to think critically about their work and make intentional design decisions.
This type of experience builds confidence and prepares students for future opportunities.
A Voice for Our Students
Each magazine includes topics chosen by students. These topics highlight campus events, student life, and stories that matter to them. The result is a publication that feels authentic, engaging, and uniquely ours.
