School Counselor Graphic: Warm, compassionate, caring, dedicated, Loving , fun, Reliable, loyal, kind

Welcome to Pleasanton Primary! Home of the Eagles!

Hello, my name is April Andrada and I am the school counselor here at the Pleasanton Primary. I am a product of Pleasanton ISD and truly enjoy working in the community where I was raised. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Incarnate Word and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Texas A&M San Antonio. I have been working in education for 13 years (teacher for 7 years and this is my 6th year as a counselor).

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 20 years and together we have one beautiful daughter and our family dog Frenchie named Riley....who we truly adore! When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, reading, going to the movies, and working in the yard.

Counseling is my passion and building relationships is very important to me. I look forward to working with you and your child and supporting you anyway I can.

I have new & exciting things planned for school-wide events, guidance counseling lessons for students, individual and group counseling, and many other exciting things.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or want to know more about our counseling program!

Warmly,

April Andrada alandrada@pisd.us 830-569-1328

Hello, my name is Abigale Parker and I am one of the school counselors here at the Pleasanton Primary. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Counseling from Texas A&M University San Antonio. I have been in education for 11 years. I started teaching PreK and taught for 7 years at the Primary and then became a high school counselor for 2 years in Lytle. I appreciate all the hard work that takes place at the Primary to ensure that every child is receiving what they need to be successful. With that being said, I then decided to come back home to Pleasanton. I worked with the PASS behavior department for 1 year and learned many different strategies for de-escalating students in challenging scenarios.

Helping others has been a passion of mine and I look forward to helping students, parents, and teachers have a successful school year!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
