College Credit Opportunities

Pleasanton High School offers students the opportunity to earn dual credit through partnerships with Palo Alto College, Southwest Texas College, Coastal Bend College, and the Alamo Academies. These programs allow students to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously, giving them a head start on their postsecondary education, reducing future tuition costs, and providing valuable experience in college-level coursework.

Southwest Texas College

Coastal Bend College

Please check the webpage of the college you plan to attend and look for their testing/TSI page. Each college has their own method for retrieving TSI scores. Most colleges have an online form giving the college permission to retrieve your scores directly from the TSI/Accuplacer system

SAT/ACT Scores

Although your SAT and ACT scores are posted to your transcript, colleges and technical schools usually want to receive them directly from SAT (CollegeBoard) or ACT.  Here are the links to order your scores to be sent if your college requests them:

What Is the TSI Assessment?

The TSI Assessment (TSIA) is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help your college or university determine if you are ready for college-level course work in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. If you are an incoming college student in Texas, you are required to take the TSI Assessment - unless you are already exempt (see your counselor) - to determine your readiness for college-level work. Based on how you perform, you may either be enrolled in a college-level course and/or be placed in the appropriate developmental course or intervention to improve your skills and prepare you for success in college-level courses.

  • Students can send TSIA exam results to universities

  • PHS tests during the school year

  • The cost for re-testers is $5.00 per section you are re-taking

  • Check with Ms. Garza about testing dates and access to practice materials!
