Parent Liaison

Roles and Responsibilities

The primary role of the Parent Liaison is to empower parents to become active participants in the education of their children. The liaison does this  by encouraging parent involvement in the school, foster trust between parents and the educational community, and facilitate parent-school communication.


Parent Center

The Parent Center is a place set aside in a Title 1 school for the purpose of making the school more accessible to families and encouraging adult engagement in children’s education. The Parent Center is run, maintained and supervised by Title 1 staff and volunteers as it provides supplemental materials for parents to help their children achieve more in the core content areas of mathematics, science, social studies, reading and writing. 

The Parent Center has equipment available for staff and volunteers such as: Poster Maker, copier, Die Cut Machine & various dies, cold laminator, heavy duty paper cutter, Image Projector, Cutout Maker (aka Big Cricut) and computers with printers. 

The Center also provides parent trainings and workshops that will help parents gain more insight on the importance of positive parenting and student achievement.

The Parent Center is located next door to the Junior High Campus, 1280 Jolly Street.
