The Program of Study is a comprehensive, structured approach for delivering academic and career and technical education to prepare students for post-secondary education and career success
. Students are provided this opportunity so that they can benefit from a program that:
- Incorporates and aligns secondary and post-secondary education elements.
- Includes academic and CTE content in a coordinated, non-duplicative progression of courses.
- Offers the opportunity to acquire post-secondary credits.
- Leads to an industry-recognized credential or certificate at the post-secondary level, or an associate or baccalaureate degree.
Students may go on to use skill sets, certifications, or credential in a career immediately following graduation. Others may use their skill sets to help them earn money to help pay for college. Whatever students' reasons for completing a program of study are, having taken advantage of the opportunities available at Pleasanton High School can better set them up for success after graduation.
