Edlio Engage Communication

Parents: Pleasanton ISD is happy to announce a new communication tool for parents and teachers. There will no longer be a need to download multiple communication apps for your child’s communication needs. Please download the new Edlio Engage (Engage.livingtree.com) app so you have direct access to the most current announcements from your child(ren)’s teachers at Pleasanton ISD.
 
Please follow the simple directions below to maximize your flow of communication.

Profile Options: (Top right corner)
1. Select Options
2. My profile, Edit Profile
3. Review information, add phone number.
4. Language: Adjust language translation, if needed.

Communication Options
1. Update options.
2. Select Allow text message posts to be sent to my phone. This will allow better communication between teachers and parents.
 
Don’t forget to save!
 
As a parent, you’ll see posts (messages, photos, videos, and files) and events from your child(ren)’s teachers and school administrators. Watch for your ‘Welcome to Livingtree’ email which will provide your username and password.
 
Download the Mobile App
The easiest way to the Edlio Engage app is to download the free mobile app.
 
Overview:
1. Think of Conversations as your “homepage”. You can scroll through your stream to see posts that have been shared with you by your child’s teachers, school administrators, and other parents.
2. You will see your children and the classes they’re connected to in your left navigation pane. Click on a class or a child to view content that’s been shared with a specific class. When emailing/ contacting/ posting, please filter (click) on your child’s class to ensure that the contact goes to the right teachers.
3. Group Code is one way to connect to a class. If you’ve been given a group code printout, you can enter it here.
4. Click on any top navigation application (Calendar, Give, My Network, Inbox, Directory) to explore the functionality. Skip ahead to read a brief description of each one.
5. Use these shortcuts to access your account settings – ‘Edit Profile & Preferences’, ‘My Network’ (to edit your groups & connections), and entering a group code, if applicable. Use ‘Edit Profile & Preferences’ to update information such as email address, phone number, and notification preferences. To see posts translated to one of 100+ languages, select your preferred language.
6. See a quick view of any events coming up within the next two days. Click on ‘Calendar’ to see a day, week, or month view of your events. Your calendar will populate with events as they are shared with the school or classes.
7. Filter your Conversations feed by selecting Pinned, Files, Photos, Events, or search by user. Search all Conversations content (including comments) by entering a key word in the search tool.
Calendar
1. View events that have been shared with you and create and share events with classes, or your own private family group.
2. Events can include reminders, volunteer tasks, RSVPs, notifications, and more.
3. You may add your Livingtree calendar to an external calendar (google, outlook) by clicking on the subscribe option in the top right corner when viewing the calendar.
 
My Network
1. Invite other parents/ caregivers to your family group so they will receive the same content through the class and school.
2. Rename your family.
3. Remove a connection to a class
Inbox
1. Inbox is perfect for reaching out privately to any teacher.
2. No need for email addresses, just type in the recipient’s name in the “To” field.
3. They will receive your direct message in their account and will be notified of your message via email/ mobile.
